Carry the Tool Kit to Repair Your Car:

DIY Methods to Repair the Car:


#1. Changing Flat Tire: Flat tire is one of the most common problems and you can easily fix or change your flat tire. One needs to loosen the lug nuts, and then use a jack to lift the vehicle off the ground. Now, remove the lug nuts and then slowly remove the flat tire. Replace it with the spare tire, wrench the lug nut and make sure the nuts are tight enough. Aren’t the steps simple.


#2. Changing Car Battery: This is a tricky one especially if this happens anywhere at the middle of the night. Don’t forget to check the car manual to know the location of the car battery. Now, remove if there are any covers on the battery. Make sure you disconnect the negative cables. Now, move the clamp away from the battery post and then repeat the same task for the positive cable clamp. Then, one is required to remove the screws and replace the battery. Connect the cable clamps.


#3. Changing Brake Pads: We all know how important the brakes and therefore, you need to ensure the brakes are safe when you are driving. Changing brake pads aren’t difficult at all. It’s almost like changing a flat tire. All you need to do is loosen the lug nuts of the wheels, jack the car, and remove the wheels, slider bolts, and the old brake pads. Now, replace them with new ones.


Besides these, one should also know how to change oil, replace the headlight and the wipers and the air filters and how to change the spark plugs. But as a novice, you cannot fix the mechanical problems of your car and you must rely on the professional auto repair in this regard.
